Seasons & rehearsals
When "in season," SAYC's normal rehearsal time is Sunday afternoons from 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm. Rehearsals are held in the Choir Room at 15315 Huebner Road in San Antonio, 78248. Once a month, dinner is provided for all singers after rehearsal from 5:15-6:00. We have nice breaks between each season so none of us will become burned out by too much intensity over too long a period of time. Students participating in SAYC are free to sit out seasons if a particular stretch of time is too busy for you (school, sports, band, drama, dance team, swimming, etc.) to participate.
The San Antonio Youth Chorale
How can I join SAYC?
If you are currently in grades 7 through 12, then you are age-eligible to audition to become a part of The San Antonio Youth Chorale.

In order to join SAYC, here's what you need to do:

1) Call, text, or email to set up your audition time.

2) Once you have completed your audition and have been accepted into SAYC, you will then be invited to come to rehearsal, Sundays at 4:00pm ... arriving at 3:45 the first rehearsal to complete paperwork and pay your $50 seasonal registration fee.
3)​ You are encouraged to invite your friends to come to SAYC and check us out. Once they decide they would like to join us, they can follow the steps above to set up an audition.
Anyone who likes to sing and would enjoy making music in a safe, welcoming environment is encouraged to come visit a rehearsal and talk to the SAYC staff about the possibility of joining the choir. We have discovered that the teamwork required for music-making is more fun when we are surrounded by many friends with whom to share the experience!
